CHAIR UNDERGOING REPAIRS TO ONE LEG

The autumn always brings a remarkable amount of work into our workshop – with furniture restoration in Surrey in great demand as Christmas approaches!  At least, that is my theory but perhaps people just feel like to have a good ‘spring’ clean after the summer break.

In any event, over the past couple of weeks we have had a great variety of furniture brought into our workshop for repair and restoration.  These items have ranged from blanket boxes, tables and chairs to corner cabinets and large dining tables that need extensive French polishing.

Of course, we undertake a wide variety of furniture repairs in Surrey.  After many years in the business there are not many items, antique or otherwise that we cannot restore.  Indeed, as you know, we have a number of very skilled tradesman and artisans who specialise in different aspects of furniture repairs.  Sometimes we find something that is beyond us (although that is rare!) but then we always know someone in our extensive network of contacts who can do what we cannot!

One concern for many people lies in the potential cost of furniture repairs in Surrey.  This is understandable, frankly, as you may think that any restoration (in particular) is going to be fantastically expensive!

In fact, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive some restoration can be – and yet have an incredible result.  Often your beloved antique or item of furniture can be restored for a very modest sum.

Certainly, we always provide a quotation or estimate for the work required and you can be assured that we make every effort not to exceed this amount.

Needless to say, ‘a stitch in time saves nine’ and you can invariably save a lot of money by bringing in your furniture or antiques to us well before any repair gets worse.  This is particularly the case with veneering (where often veneers get lost or fall off altogether) or where joints have loosened.

So, if you need furniture restoration in Surrey or repairs to furniture or your antiques then do contact us.

Of course, we also undertake insurance work so, if you have  a claim, call us and we can then provide you with the necessary quotations and undertake the work required…
