At Snelling Associates we pride ourselves upon not just the personal service we provide for antique repairs in Cranleigh but also upon our superb quality of work. This, of course, is essential particularly when we deal with the repair and restoration of valuable antiques – many of which are also much loved family heirlooms!
As you can see from the many images on this site, we are professional restorers who have been doing antique repairs in Cranleigh and the local area for many years. You may have seen us at various shows around the area or in some of the local papers and magazines, where we have been featured.
Our workshop is in Shere and it is here that we undertake our restoration work and this covers a wide range of furniture repair and antique restoration issues from insurance claims through to the decay or damage of items due to water, heat, woodworm or just neglect.
We have a range of excellent, time served craftsmen, who can undertake almost all antique repair and restoration work from veneering and making new turnings to reconstruction of items, re-colouring them and French polishing. We repair filigree and are able to sort out broken locks and find (or make) new keys. In short, we provide a highly skilled, one-stop service but one that recognises how precious patina is and the importance of preserving the integrity of an antique (both for visual purposes and the integral value of the piece concerned).
Of course, we always provide a quotation for the work that you want doing and you will be surprised at how cost-effective our work is. All you have to do is contact us and bring your antique to our workshop or make a time during which we can come to your home or place of work and see what you want doing. We can then tell you how much the work will cost, how long it will take to do and what we expect it to look like once completed.
So, if you want antique repairs in Cranleigh then do contact us – you will be amazed at how we can transform your antique or item of furniture and how we can breathe new life into an item that has long since lost its past glory!
